PACKING LIST

Meadowgreens is an amazing property with lots of mowed fields, tall grass, and forest landscapes for you to explore. Because this is the Northeast USA, you have to spot check for ticks after being outdoors, and check for poison ivy. You should wear sleeves and long pants / long socks when walking around; it will help you avoid these things. A small bottle of dishsoap is handy for washing off any residual poison ivy oils you may have on your skin, so bring some along if you can.

In late August, the weather can get quite cool at night. Be sure to bring extra layers of clothing in case it gets chilly. The weather for this weekend is looking dry, but it’s always a good idea to put a tarp down before you pitch a tent.

We are also asking that participants bring flashlights or headlamps for navigating the vast campground site at night. Worst case, a smartphone flashlight works fine, but you’ll be doing a lot of walking through fields in the dark, so be prepared!

Bring bathing suits and towels as well! There’s no swimming hole on site, but it might be nice to sunbathe or dump a bucket of water on your head. And bring soap and flip flops for the showers. Also feel free to bring beach blankets / sheets to lay down in the fields. Bring collapsible/fold-up chairs if you like, as well.

Drinking: bring reusable water bottles to refill. Eating: bring reusable eating utensils, plates and cups if you can — let’s keep it green you guys, try not to use too much paper, plastic or styrofoam! Bring small hibachi-type grills if you want to cook things on your own, but we will of course have our illustrious chefs preparing meals for those who ordered in advance, and they may have a few meals left over for those who didn’t order in advance.

Note: there is also a grocery store (Shop Rite) about a 15-minute drive from the campground if you need more supplies throughout the weekend. The WE DO US bar will be open for business the whole weekend, with beer and a special cocktail available ($3 for beer, $5 for cocktail). All profits from the bar will go toward festival expenses.

If you have access to untreated burnable wood nearby, please bring it to add to the bonfire! Wood is hard to come by here.

Also, feel free to dress insanely. This is CHERYL.
