WE DO US is a completely participatory experimental outdoor festival in upstate New York, started by CHERYL,
and fueled by the community of people we know and love.
Last summer about 50 of us gathered (half from NYC, half from upstate) to create performances, build installations, make music, participate in people’s projects, DJ, sit around a bonfire and generally enjoy being in nature together.
We are psyched for WE DO US 2017. What we learned last year is that this festival is about just being there, choosing to do what you want, not feeling pressure to do anything, and taking advantage of what’s happening in the moment. Some people will choose to perform or bring/make art, others will not. What we ask is that everyone embrace the idea of participation in whatever form it feels comfortable to you. In an ideal world, everyone would contribute some kind of creative project. In the real world, we just want you to come and contribute whatever makes sense for you.
New this year, we are pleased to announce that two very talented chef friends of ours
(one from NYC, one from upstate) will be providing meals at an additional cost —
see the Meal Plans box below for details.

This is a private event and we have a limited number of tickets we are allowed to sell, as per our agreement with the owners of the festival site, so please — get your ticket now and secure your spot before the list fills up!
We are extending this invitation to YOU, a member of our close-knit community, first. If we have spots left over later, we will extend this invitation to others we would love to get to know better.

Your contribution covers campground rental, use of their facilities, event insurance,
equipment rentals, and incidental tech and production costs.

Meal Plans
We are super excited to have REAL FOOD this year, cooked by friends!
Introducing an amazing collab between Pirapha’s No Bullshit Kitchen from NYCand Lara Belkin’s xcb food from Hudson.
Pirapha, Lara, and friends will be working together to make locally-sourced, farm-fresh, and affordable meals throughout the weekend.
PLEASE NOTE: We need signups by MONDAY, AUGUST 14so they can order enough food and plan correctly for all of us.NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you need vegetarian meals, make sure to include that in your Venmo payment note.
Note: there is also a grocery store (Shop Rite) and liquor store (Fairview Wines & Spirits) about a 15-minute drive from the campground if you need more supplies throughout the weekend. We will also have a tiki bar installation run by some of our festival participants, with drinks available by donation.

Buying Tickets & Meals
Use the Ticket Prices and Meal Plans boxes above to determine how much your ticket will be ($25 or $50),
add your meal plans costs, and send the correct amount directly to CHERYL with Venmo.
How to pay with Venmo:
- Add CHERYL as a friend on Venmo.
- Log into Venmo (learn how to sign up for Venmo here)
- In the app, tap the menu icon in the upper left hand corner > search for “cherylwillruin”
- In your browser, find the CHERYL account here: @cherylwillruin
- Send CHERYL payment according to the ticket and meal prices listed above.
- IMPORTANT: Please include a note about which day(s) you are attending, which meals you are ordering (and if you want vegetarian meals only), and whether your payment includes an extra contribution. You will receive a confirmation email from Venmo which will act as your receipt, and you will receive further information via email from CHERYL later this summer with details on how to participate, food, and more.
Please send payments BEFORE the festival so we don’t have to worry about it once things start —
we are trying to keep cash stuff to a minimum!
